Just a quick note to say I was invited to teach a sculpting class at FaerieCon in Baltimore this November. I am teaching on November 7 from 12 noon-3 PM. We will be sculpting a faerie bust with emphasis on learning to sculpt the face. If you were going and wanted to learn here is the link for the Faerie Academy:

I have posted some in progress pics of the very beginnings of my new piece in my WIPS folder (on the new facebook page), and the discussion for today is a blurb on how the piece came about.

Well I need to go to sleep. I feel like death on a cracker.

Thank heavens I have this week off from work. I wonder why it is always such a monumental task to get ready for a festival? i am busily finishing resin dolls and green woman necklaces. And prepping for my little talk on creativity. If you are at the festival Saturday morning at 11, I'll be chatting away about keeping your creativity alive.

We leave Thursday for set up day. I always have nightmares about my tent taking flight and sailing over Glen Rock! We stake it down really good, but I have seen someone's tent take flight before.

Spring is slowly springing, I finally feel like doing a bit of sculpting again. This winter really sucked my will to live. I could barely get my bum to work and take care of the basics, much less have the energy to sculpt. Doesn't usually take the wind out of my sails. The recession has sure taken the wind out of my sales.... At least I don;t have to feel all pressured to produce, LOL.

I was juried in once more to the Spoutwood Farm May Day Fairie Festival! Yay! This is by far my favorite fairie fest. It makes FaerieCon look lame. If you can make it I highly recommend you go, it is just magical. I am giving a "lecture" on the creative process and maybe one on sculpting if they need another to fill time in the learning area. Here is the site: [link] or type in fairiefestival.net

I have another resin doll that just arrives. I am busily finishing those. They will debut at the fairie fest.

Well off to see what's crackin' with the deviants I watch :)
